Lighter is a perpetual futures exchange built as an application-specific zk-rollup on Ethereum, matching orders off-chain and proving the correctness of every match and liquidation with custom zero-knowledge circuits. Live on mainnet since October 2025 and trading free for retail, it monetizes by selling sophisticated firms premium access to that order flow — a model that found its natural partner on July 1, 2026, when Lighter went live as the official perpetuals venue for Robinhood Chain on a 50/50 revenue split.
